separate feed from cold water cistern, the cold feed should be lower than the one feeding the cylinder, then if the cistern runs empty you will starve the hot before the cold. :D

normally it is the circuit board, really needs an RGI to check everything first though, last Halstead I found with this problem needed a new PCB, however I only ever actually see the boiler lock out once despite several visits

you can buy single room systems that does not use a mixing valve as such but use a return limiting valve, not sure how well they work, having never fitted one myself

wrong, under floor heating uses a mixing valve and normally a separate pump, it does not run at the same temp as the rest of your system! burnt feet is your future!!! don't know how the small single room kits work, but you cannot just connect it up :D :D :D

Get the ones supplied by baxi, I always use seals supplied my the manufacturer and it cuts down on problems in the long run :D

yeah the icos and isar are utter carp, they forget to mention the other problems with the boiler and it does not matter how well they are fitted, they are junk

5 pin plug is on the left hand side as you look at the boiler and yes the pcb is the brain, only Ideal don't make very reliable brains!!
