Can you group Hive TRV's together where there is more than one radiator in a room?

To have the two or more Hive TRV's in the same room function as if they are one virtual TRV. i.e. If I increase/decrease the temperature on one radiator, the other radiators in the same room will sync/update to the same temperature.

Electrics in the USA - What tests are done for new installations?

But I often hear about things being or not being up to "code", and was wondering what "code" entails and if it specifies certain tests. Do test meters like my Megger MFT1730 have much use in the states?

Can you group Hive TRV's together where there is more than one radiator in a room?

Hi all, for a long time I have just had three Hive TRV's. One in my bedroom, one in my bathroom and one in the spare bedroom. I have just installed 6 more Hive TRV's for the remaining radiators in the house (except the main bathroom rad what intentionally does not have a TRV) and wanted to know...

Electrics in the USA - What tests are done for new installations?

I am in the UK where when new circuits are commissioned, a number of tests are done to ensure the safety of the circuit. Such tests consist of (but not limited to) insulation resistance tests, loop impedance tests, RCD/ELCB characteristics tests, etc... How does that compare to the sort of...

Give me mercy...Removing a UPS can't be that hard!

I know, I took common sense and intuition for granted, and paid the price as a result. As someone who is technical both in a professional sense and as a hobbyist, I saw the job as a simple one from my own perspective stupidly and did not foresee how it could be done otherwise. If you took it...

Give me mercy...Removing a UPS can't be that hard!

So my Granddad (who is in hid mid 80's) has had a UPS on his router for a number of years as he lives in a rural area and gets lots of power cuts and power dips. The UPS was 10-11 years old and had started to become unreliable, so I ordered him a new one. In the mean time I sent him this via...

Nest doorbell quiet with Surf 2 Note Door Chime

I recently installed a Google Nest doorbell along with a Surf 2 Note Door Chime and a 12V doorbell transformer from TLC, and noticed the Surf 2 Note Door Chime is very quite when rung. Yes, it is wired correctly and has the module installed inside the door bell that came with the Google Nest...

    www.uk-automation.co.uk Closed?

I think that is a different unrelated company. This is the one that I was on about: https://www.linkedin.com/company/uk-automation-retail-ltd/about/ and use to sell consumer smart home devices like Z-Wave and X10 modules.

Over sensitive non-contact voltage indicator or normal behaviour?

I am well aware of that, I have a GS38 compliant voltage tester for that. I am also aware I can trigger it by rubbing it on my clothes by creating static electricity. I was just a bit surprised that it was detecting when it was so far away from any sources of electricity and was standing still...

Over sensitive non-contact voltage indicator or normal behaviour?

Is my Di-Log PL107N Voltage Indicator over sensitive or are all similar non contact voltage indicators/detectors what rely on the principle of capacitive coupling going to detect unwanted sources and give false positives like featured in the video? Regards: Elliott.

    Dangerous Henley Block!?

That did occur to me, as I only have one 1 DB/CU and have no way to isolate the single consumer unit currently, so would be a useful benefit if I ever replaced my CU. My 2013 vintage MK twin RCD 12 way CU is not in the best of shape, the plastic busbar protection panel was never refitted by the...
