    Just in case.... RCD - Usually one switch with a "Test Button" on, rated at 30mA MCB - Individual switches protecting the circuit. I know the replacement fuse-board probably does have these, but just with you saying RCD's....

    You seem to know what you want...ask the electricians that are doing the install if they have understood what you were asking of them. In my opinion I do not know why they have installed it so low down...maybe they thought you where asking for a low level cooker point / FCU for a single fan...

    The reading does meet the requirements of BS:7671. Circuits protected by a 100mA RCD / Max Zs permitted = 500 Ohms. Circuits protected by a 30mA RCD / Max Zs permitted = 1666 Ohms. The reading you got from the socket circuit is quite reasonable for a TT system.

    Is there a reason why the NIC wont let you use there PIR's ? If your in the installer scheme you should be able to issue Periodic Inspection Report for a Domestic Dwelling (DPR1)
