    I would fit a Vaillant ecotec plus 837 (37kw on hot water) superb boiler but if you want to pick one of your choices I would go for the greenstar. Don't worry about whats easier for the installer your paying him regardless.

    boilermate II hot water but no central heating

    I have repaired a few boilermate II which have a loud buzzing and nine times out of ten it was the pump driver board on the bottom of the panel. Its easy to change but it also could be your thermostat you can disconnect this and see if the buzzing stops.
