    the bleed nipple on the left is what i was refering to you could try and loosen the nut on the left hand side half way up the cylinder to see if any air comes out of that. I think it is air in the coil but you could switch your emersion on to make sure your domestic hot water side is working

    Yeah do plan A it sound like fun let me know how you get on....On the other hand you could isolate all your other rads on the system with there valves drain the pipes do your rad fill it with inhibitor and top the sytem back up open, your valves, top up a bit more if you have to, bleed them but...

    Just a point about the oxypilot it is tru it only work when oxygen levels fall but it does not measure the entire room only whats around it and since most gas fires are low level and carbon monxide is heavier than oxygen it would in theory shut off before the inevitable.....unless your lying on...

    This is just from memory but i think a myson apollo has an overheat stat to the back off the gas valve this can be bypassed by screwing the thermocuple into it instead this may have happened here. If you have no overheat i would think the problem is your pilot flame maybe.

    If you have two bathrooms or more your always better to store water so a cylinder would be better I like un-vented for two bath but anymore and a vented cylinder may be better

    I wouldn't say the flush was done wrong but powerflushing is not 100% effective in my opinion. Although it is useful I would reccomend you get a magnaclean fitted it will stop and sludge....

    Could be an airlock in the coil try and see if there is a bleed nipple coming off the top of the coil as it enters the cylinder
