I would try the opposite.
Find a length of small rubber tube (or windscreen washer tube) cut straight, hold this end against drain hole and other end in wet vac hose with fist clenched to form a seal. This way of sealing will allow some form of 'adjustment' of the vacuum.

Up, or downwards, would be irrelevant if the design of fountain has a water catchment area which, if the drain outlet should become blocked, would cause a pool of water to collect above the level of the water outlet. This would require double check valve.
Not suggesting you get these, even if they were the correct ones, just if they are similar, or use similar fittings. They just prove they come apart and appear to be standard double flared ends. What diameter is the pipe itself?

More likley the radio has been replaced at some time, or it's not the vehicles original handbook.
If ford still use Phillips radio code can be recovered from serial number.
You expect an answer but no mention of make, model, OS, how long after switching on does it happen, programs running at the time .................... etc. etc!!
If it is a "China clone" then it may well ask for details because its original software called for these details but during the clone process some will accept any input.
Tony your post is as good as many asking for help with a boiler problem - not a single mention of what you are refering to. No make, model, version nowt.
Not everyone is equiped with crystal balls nowadays, they have become a rather rare comodity.
Once data is recovered suggest you bin drive, they're cheap enough these days.
Why continue using a faulty drive for anything? Not worth the continued stress.
