If the boiler works fine for hot water then it could be a problem with the digi stat. What makes you sure that the boiler is getting a signal from the stat to call for heating? Is there a switch on the front of the boiler to select heating and/or hot water?

Your right Keego.... Re-reading, the op doesn't sound competant enough to fault find. If it is something simple as an mcb tripped then ok, but finding the cause of that should be tackled professionally.
