    because..believe it or not I have a bathroom basin with a one and a half inch outlet!..ok I'll rephrase is there anything like a (32mm) basin mate but for a bigger outlet..i.e. one and a half inch outlet

    thanks everyone ..most helpful. The power supply to the programmer is from a standard 3-pin fused plug (into a single dedicated socket ..out of sight in the nearby airing cupboard)..so no worries there ..the plug will be out and on the floor! As I only need CH.. just one piece of wire...

    thanks for the link... ..have just read the "wetroom" bit of that guide..would it be worth doing 2 coats of SBR on the backer board adjacent to the sink? I have already done 2 coats of weatherproof pva (not the one that re-activates with water after drying) around the cut out in the osb...

    I googled "Mineret board" yesterday..just got 2 "hits" neither of which was any use at all..both American websites!? I will just do as you advise ..gripfill between osb and backer board and an S2 addy for the tiles..thanks again for helping
