    Thanks very much for getting back on this one doitall. The thread on the "in" and "out" is actually on the inside of the 2 fittings i.e. female. I have to say the unit came with absolutely no instructions! As I said I think I must have blissfully passed by BSP fittings for the last 50+...

    Many thanks for the prompt reply Bigspark. I already have the twin external socket..brought over from UK. Not sure I've seen the RCD protected type here either. I think what I'll do is replace the single socket (inside)with a double switched socket..maybe a fusible one.. then use a stand-alone...
