    which fitting?

planning on putting a service check valve (like a washing machine tap) to the wc inlet. the inlet is a fluidmaster type. It is 15mm with a thread. The valve is a compression type. How do I connect the two? I need a female to female coupler of some kind.

Agile, surely higher temp means more gas!? You can hear the fans kick in which to me means more gas is being burned as it is being exhausted. Just a theory on how these magical (expensive) beasts work. If you take the sensor out and blow down it you can hear the fan rattle like a cheap piece...

Cheers for reply. Very diffiult to be more descriptive about the pump noise, but I agree it could be a birt of dirt. The system was hot and cold flushed, but not power. Its been in for a year and a half now, and I've drained it twice. There was a fair bit of black gunk on the rad valves I...

Hi, Recently had some rads off to decorate and changed a few valves etc. When the pump overun finishes there is a click noise which is heard. It doesn't come from inside the boiler eg a switching noise, but seems to come from the pipes themselves. The pump has started to sound a bit ruff...

    Strange combi boiler

as its remote, i suppose there is the possibilty of rf interference from pirates, or cabs, or even someone in the same block/road with the same bit of kit. I would reset everything as maybe there is some some chatter on the ebus connections.

How complicated can a toilet cistern be?

They can be tricky, plan ahead. Took me (a novice) 4 hours, as I couldn't get the water inlet pipe out for love nor money, ended up sawing it and having to fit a flexi pipe. It depends on the type of toilet. Check your access, is it copper, plastic fittings, what tools do you require etc...

    Banging Ecotec pro28 - There's no *** quality anymore!!

Boiler is just over a year old interms of installation. When the heating is not called for anymore eg at temp, when the boiler switches off the gas supply, there is a a bit of a bang. I could understand if it was the otherway round - on ignition, but this is strange. Vaillant have had a look...
