sorry oilman, it's just that he said the buzzing sounded like the transformer that made me think there was a spark but not enough oil.

A delivery of oil stirs up all the crud in the tank. If you did not allow an hour for it to all settle back to the bottom of the tank before firing up the boiler then it could be that your filter is full of crap. 8)

You are correct, the control box is a BHO 11.1 .I'll just wait and see what happens next. Thankyou.

Thanks for your help, sounds like it's not serious. When you say voltage is coming back would this indicate a poor connection or a poor earth maybe ?

I have an old Myson oil boiler which seems to start & run perfectly but the lockout light on both the reset button and the console flicker so fast that they are virtually permanently lit.Any ideas what this could be due to ? :?
