:D :D :D :D Fantastic, thanks to your input and sending us down the zone valve route and posting photos so we knew what we were looking for the hot water is back on. it turned out we have one 3 port zone valve(£30.00 from plumb center) which he replaced and hey presto hot baths again...

the other possible problem could be the keypad, potterton ep 2000, that you turn it on and off with. if i put it to hot water the central heating comes on aswell. has any one heard of this. thanks janine.

Hi, anyone help? my water won't heat up when i put it on, the pilot light bumps on and the heating comes on too but no hot water. any ideas. thankyou. janine
