    Got her to try the Hot bath tap at a slow rate and yes this is now getting hot. Could it be the taps or wrong size pipe. what's the solution here - rip out all the old 22mil and replace with 15mil Thanks

    Ok gigs i will tell her to try that - What happens if this is an air lock. Can i go ahead and clear it with a piece of hosepipe from one tap to another - I've done this before on a gravity fed system and it worked a treat. Thanks

    Nice bit of info on last post. that's a good idea about putting one of the appliances on it's own. I assume the oven would be a power hogger so we could use that. Cool problem solved.

    Thanks for the info. So from your response i don't need to shut off any of the rads when draining the system. I was told by closing the valves would speed up the drain process that's all.

    Moving a radiator

    Ok done a little reading about draining the system and found a self tapping drain valve that can be fitted onto 15mil pipe if there are no available drain points. Suppose this is the answer then really - get one - fit it - do the job.
