What do I need to break up concrete this thick?

Dunno about that. Already broke up an 8inch by 24inch line of concrete used to support a fence (yes a bloody fence) it took a whole day for two of us using a Dewalt D25960K 16kg 28mm HEX Demolition Breaker and sledge hammer. I've got a 100ltr compressor could I use it with an air breaker. It...

What do I need to break up concrete this thick?

Thanks for the serious reply Nick. I didnt know you could get a digger with a breaker. My sons are coming this weekend convinced they can do it with sledge hammers. If they fail and I think they will the digger will be the way to go. Cheers.

What do I need to break up concrete this thick?

What do I need to break up concrete this thick?

It's over a foot thick and right up to the house as you can see. I'm getting to old to swing a sledge hammer! Thanks.

Does anyone have an answer to this?

Does anyone have an answer to this?

Thanks Tony. I didnt think of the disc cutter. That might work. I considered drilling holes all around it about a foot away and leaving that part of the concrete intact around the drain. The soil pipe is about two feet down where it leaves the concreted area but as it probably rises as it...

Does anyone have an answer to this?

[/img] Hi. My first post. The previous occupier laid concrete about a foot deep right up to this drain. I now need to remove the concrete for a new patio. The problem is removing the concrete will almost certainly wreck the drain and probably the soil pipe. That will mean no waste water...
