Best way to go if doing LVT is get an asphalt subfloor at 20mm thickness. Then you get a smoothing compound then LVT

Other choice is go carpet with a rubber crumb underlay.

No Dpm under the sub floor in most cases. Sometimes old thin visqueen which has perished. Really needs a Dpm sandwich Ardex na Ardex DPM1c Ardex na

Just take it up and do it properly. 15 min job each room.
