    Small fence posts with rope

Can anyone suggest anywhere I could get some small fencing? I'm after the type that is made up of small wooden posts that have rope threaded through them. The posts I've seen in other peoples gardens have a 45 degree cut at the top, and stand about 2 feet high. The rope loops through a...

    Pruning Roses

Hi We have a number of roses in our garden (labels state they are patio roses and climbing patio roses). The climbing one has got really tall , and has begun to bend over - possibly on the verge on snapping. Can I prune it whilst it's flowering? It's covered in flowers at the moment, but...

    Buzzing shaver socket

Thanks for the reply I'd say a slight hum. If I get everyone in the house to shut up for a minute, I can just about hear it from outside the bathroom. (Hope that describes it well enough - quite hard to describe how loud something is). Thanks

    Quick - dumb question

Thanks for the reply So, if I cut off the feed TO the hot water cylinder, no hot water will come FROM the cylinder - is that what you are saying? A plumber did a job in our bathroom a year or so ago, and he removed the sink and capped the pipes for a while. I can't remember him having to...

    Shower installation.

If you want a power shower, you'll need hot and cold water feeds to the shower. If you want an electric shower, you'll need to check your wiring to see what KW of shower you can use. Or, you can upgrade your wiring and go for a big boy.

Water Pressure drop after work undertaken

Hi I have recently had a plumber in to fit a new bathroom suite and install an outside tap. Since he's been, the hot water pressure seems to have dropped by some degree. The cold supply is fine. The plumber said that the new tap I had in the bathroom has a disc in it or something...

    Question for BREEZER.

Breezer You very kindly answered a post of mine some time ago, with reference to my Hotpoint Aquarius washer Dryer leaking from the dispenser drawer. You suggested that I call Hotpoint, as you said there was a "kit" available to solve the problem (as it was quite a common problem). I...

    Quick question on regulations

Just had a new bathrrom installed. Electrician was employed by the plumber to install a new shaver socket, light/fan above the shower and new ceiling light. Is this work certifiable by the new part P? If so, is there something I need to get from the electrician or it is all taken care of at...

    Double shaver socket.

I need to charge an electric toothbrush AND an electric shaver. The shaver needs to be connected constantly as it's one of these clean and charge systems. I don't want to keep unplugging it to charge the toothbrush. Thanks

    Double shaver socket.

Anyone know if "double shaver sockets" exist? (Not the ones where one slot is 230v and the other 110v - I need both to be 230v). If so, any idea where? Thanks

Hanging a Large Wooden Framed Mirror

The internal wall is made up of this thermal block stuff, which is skimmed with a thin layer of plaster (the house is about 20 years old). The wall in question is the one joining next door. I think I've sussed what wall plugs I need (got them from Homebase last week - the ones where the plug...
