    Please recommend quality bath waste

Is it not worth paying extra for a waste with brass body? It would be terribly inconvenient to refit waste once bath is in position if it fails. Is Ultra a good brand?

Please recommend a bathroom fan that will help with condensation in flat

Hi Wundaboy Thanks for your experience I have seen those advertised. They work on fresh air continuosly being forced into the building via a duct and then stale air being forced out through gaps in the fabric of building. Wheras an background extractor sucks air out of the building through a...

    Please recommend quality bath waste

I ordered a new bath waste with a plug and chain and it has come and looks really cheap. Please can I have recommendations for a bath waste/overflow for standard acrylic bath with a plug and chain. For preference I would like a retainer waste where the plug stows in the overflow hole when not...

Please recommend a bathroom fan that will help with condensation in flat

EFL: To be fair to the tenants, the building is more prone to condensation because of lack of roof ventilation and cold walls. We do need better tenants though next time. Currently empty. Thanks Dart: There is certainly no penetrating damp from outside. By having better extraction it will...

Please recommend a bathroom fan that will help with condensation in flat

Thanks for looking at it. It seems very vague about the concept of duct work; can't see any info about max duct length. TBH I've got a head ache just looking through all that writing. Needles in haystacks to me. If you think I can use it with my duct then great.

I will be refurbing an internal bathroom. Currently there is an axial low voltage fan on wall in zone 1 in corner of bath/shower area with about 9 ft of ducting to outside. The flat has many outside walls and condensation / mould growth has been a problem in lounge and bedrooms. The easiest...

Best prep and paint for a ceiling on paper, in one coat?

The lounge ceiling looks like there is a vaguely textured paper and probably hasn't been painted for 30 years; its white, if a little grey with age, with no horrid spots There is coving around the edge which looks more in need of refreshment that the ceiling I don't want to stress the paper...

Fibreboard (tentest?) walls wallpaper stripping technique

My dd has just moved into 1960's chalet style house and from what they describe the walls are not plasterboard. Sounds like could be fibreboard. The whole place is wallpapered badly and they have started to strip it off the easy vinyl top layer of paper leaning the paper still stuck to the...
