My dd has just moved into 1960's chalet style house and from what they describe the walls are not plasterboard. Sounds like could be fibreboard.
The whole place is wallpapered badly and they have started to strip it off the easy vinyl top layer of paper leaning the paper still stuck to the wall (that was when they discovered what was underneath. Will soaking the rest of wallpaper damage the fibreboard and make it uneven?
They were hoping to paint the stripped walls but if its fibre board they may just have to get it papered again
What would you do if you discovered fibreboard rather than plasterboard in your house?
