Due to state of one wall i want to put lining paper up & then paint it. What's the best paint to go for. Ceiling is...

Budget SDS drill + screwdriver drill bits

Morning guy's & happy Friday Looking for one that doesn't cost the earth, sub £100 if about. It's for DIY use, which looks like i'll be doing quite a bit this year. My main use will be getting tiles off the wall & drilling into lintels for putting up blinds and curtain poles + general...

    Sink waste fall questions

That never crossed my mind, but could be an option. The sink waste connects into the soil pipe, which can be accessed in storage cupboard more or less underneath the bathroom. Don't mind boxing in their. Cheers

    Sink waste fall questions

That's what i thought would be the case. We wanted a low profile shower tray where the bath is, so the sink waste would have to be moved. Have to have a rethink then. Cheers

    Sink waste fall questions

Wife wants sink moved when doing bathroom. At the moment the waste runs above the floorboards under the bath & then connects to bath waste & then into soil pipe. We are going to replace bath with a shower & want the sink waste under the boards but because the joists run the opposite way, is...

    Insulation around internal soil pipe

Might be a silly question but is it ok to put insulation around the soil pipe? Had boxing off & there's nothing around it. The bathroom hopefully will be done in the near future & because it's not the warmest of rooms, im thinking it might help a little bit. Not sure if it will make much/any...

Filling in hole in wall. Insulation question?

I assume it won't have a detrimental effect on the insulation already there then? It's obvious that the previous owner/owners have had issues with penetrating damp & condensation in that area. When it fills the gap between the walls, is there any chance of future moisture/damp problems coming...

Filling in hole in wall. Insulation question?

Morning guys. I am in the process of filling in a hole, that looks like was for a flue. I've done the internal side but while i was clearing out the debris, i reached into the cavity & noticed there was not much insulation i could feel. The bit i could feel was a loose soft material, so where...

    2 different exterior paints?

Afternoon guy's, got two different makes of paint. I want to paint 2 exterior walls this year & would like to know what difference is between these two tins/tubs. I bought them off the previous owner, without actually knowing much about them. There both brilliant white, so could i use them...

    Expanding foam around window

Morning chaps, got a plasterer round tomorrow to skim walls & ceiling's. I took the trims off this morning & noticed the gaps around window were quite large. I was hoping not to put trims back on & just paint upto the window itself. If I fill the gaps up with foam, will that be a hindrance or a...
