Where to locate Blank end Panel Texecom 24

OK, Cheers Europlex - The wall behind the cupboard under the stairs is the garage and the Fuse box is on that wall so I think it works out well. I'm just planning where to put the PIR's now, I presume it's best not to have two pointing the same way - Thinking about a through lounge here, best...

Where to locate Blank end Panel Texecom 24

Hi peeps, I've just purchased an alarm kit with the above control panel (with seperate remote keypad). I just wanted your views of where to locate this. I've heard it needs to be ideally central in the house, some peeps place in loft, some in cupboard under the stairs, some in garage...

Dot and Dab cement board (hardie)

Just done my 1st 'go' at this, Attached Sounsdhield board to a bedroom wall (down to brick). Hard wire brushed the wall 1st, then PVA'a and left for a day or so to dry. Used The Gtec Plasterboard adhesive, applied all round the perimeter of the board (for fire regs I think), then used a...

    Bathroom Tiling + renovating.

Brilliant, thanks both! After some thinking, I'm going off the large format tiles idea and think I'll go smaller - the room is only small so think it may look silly too. When I put Soundboard, I meant the heavier 'E' Boards: http://www.wickes.co.uk/Soundshield-Board/invt/224657 This...

    Ghosts and antimatter

You would know it's a ghost as the items would have been covered in Ectoplasm. Egon Spengler told me that.

    all in one

Just a note on the continuous ink systems - They do seem good and work out cheaper than carts, BUT they are fiddly to set up and also can be messy. I'd say unless you love messing with things, and you can get cheap good cartridges then personally I would go with them. If you are printing...

What should I look for in a good, basic alarm system?

Sorry to jump onto this thread, S1962a - I too have opted for that alarm and will be buying prob at the weekend - Could you please send me the manual you mentioned? I'd be very grateful. (I've took the liberty of adding you as a friend on here as you cant send PM's without this). Think I'll...

    Bathroom Tiling + renovating.

Hi all, Recently purchased house, 1930's. Doesn't seem to have been decorated for years. I'm getting round to decorating the bathroom. So far all walls are back to brick, and ceiling is down. (All was necessary). I'm planning on having a quadrant shower approx 950x950 or slightly bigger...

    New System

Yes they are upgrade versions, I forgot to say, but if you quickly do a XP install, it then has to do a full install of win 7 as XP cant be upgraded. Its a nice cheap way of getting this software as long as you can get XP installed 1st.

    New System

OR Ahem You could legally buy Windows 7 for about £40ish from www.software4students.co.uk Now as long as you are a student (or say you are) you can get it for this price. You dont need a .ac.uk email address as with other discounted sites (to prove you are a student) and no checks...

    New House rendering+Plastering

Thanks all for replies :) Just a couple more to clarify (sorry if I'm being thick but I just want to make sure I do it right as I'm limited for funds and dont wanna have to redo it). @ Richard Right, the bathroom is back to brick. I intend to have the floor and all walls tiled - The...

    New System

Have a look at Aldi, they do really good PC's for the money - Got good reviews too. In regards to self builds, then I do prefer that for my own system, but only as I am very picky what components I have - Doing it this way WILL be more expensive and if you've never done anything like that...

Dell D610 conected via RGA to LCD TV

You haven't somehow set the TV as a 2nd 'extended' display have you in the settings? this way your laptop will be left hand side and the TV the right. (hence the seeing of a backgroundbut no icons. Usually there may be a Nvidia or ATI icon by your clock in the taskbar (may have to show them...

Demarcation between graphic art and photography

Bit deep for me this one, but as no replies as of yet, thought I'd kick start it. I think most purists don't class a 'composite' as an actual photograph, but personally (being a dslr amateur-enthusiast) I reckon if you've actually taken the photos and use stitching software, then thats fine...

    web hosting / domain registration

I've used Heart Internet and am still with them. Quite cheap and also decent service. tbh I dont use it as a live site though as it was going to be for a business I was going to start at the time but ended up getting a permanent job. A mate used 1&1 and they are similar, think he said their...

    Aerial Question

OK thanks. I'll try the dm log aerial in the loft and see if it does the job with a 3 way splitter (if one exists) or even 4 way. If I come into problems I'll just have to re assess at the time. Cheers all.
