Got a couple of laptops I need to get rid of. If I remove the hard drives is that enough or might data still be stored on them somewhere? TIA

Youngman eco s line loft ladder.

Would like to install the above type of loft ladder. The ideal position for me would involve cutting across the joists and creating an opening that way. Been having a look round youtube and the vids on there show these ladders being installed between the joists. Just wondering if it really mattered?

    Repairing concrete floor.

Lifted downstairs carpets today and removed gripper rods in preparation for carpet fitters next week. There's various damage to the floor from the previous installation, ranging from cracks to loose chunks. What's best for making good. Should I just get a tub of ready mixed mortar or would a...

Just wondering what type of guitar is best to start learning on, electric or acoustic? Got the son a cheapo electric guitar a while ago which is now just gathering dust. May as well put it to some use if I can.

    Cancelling a credit agreement

Thanks for the quick replies. Suppose I'd better just pay them a visit and see what they say. Don't know if it will go in my favour, but I never received any paperwork to take away with me concerning my rights or their T&C's. Will post to let you know how I got on. Thanks again.

    Cancelling a credit agreement

Hi oh learned one's. Buying a new car. Was in dealers Tuesday agreed figures and agreed to take their finance. In the meantime, circumstances changed and wife decided that she wanted to arrange finance through our bank. Bearing in mind, that I signed on the premises, am I likely to encounter...

    MAF Sensor

The MAF sensor on my 2004 Berlingo 2.0hdi is kaput. Replacement has been ordered. Just wondering does anyone know the consequences -if any- of driving with a broken MAF sensor. Don't really fancy lugging all my tools on a bus for work tomorrow. TIA.

    Horrible histories.

The bloke who created horrible histories was one of my teachers at senior school. He once put in a school report that I was "immature". Na na na na, yah, sucks, boo to him.

    Berlingo query

Wife complained that she was having to top up cooling water. Had a look and discovered that the bleed screw had been broken off the thermostat housing. Not having much joy locating a replacement today. Question is, can it still be driven? If not is there some sort of temp repair I can carry out...

    Crown Solo One Coat Gloss

Might have been a temperature issue. Even though I don't think it's been too cold today. Put the heating on earlier and it seems to be going off now.

    Crown Solo One Coat Gloss

It's now nine hours since I finished painting a door frame with this stuff and it still feels as tacky as it did then. Supposed to be touch dry in 3-4 hours. Not a new tin, couple of months old. Has been used previously without problems, but that was over existing gloss. This is the first time...

Metal bunk beds creak and groan at the slightest movement. When the kids moved into separate rooms we chopped the bunk down to make one single. It's still as noisy as hell.

argos not letting me return product

Statutory rights are only any good if you are fully aware of them. Yes one of the letter keys came off in normal use and the wife returned it to the store where she was informed that it was not covered by the warranty and that it would have to be sent away for repair at a cost of £100. No...
