MAF Sensor

The MAF sensor on my 2004 Berlingo 2.0hdi is kaput. Replacement has been ordered. Just wondering does anyone know the consequences -if any- of driving with a broken MAF sensor. Don't really fancy lugging all my tools on a bus for work tomorrow. TIA.

you may be better off disconnecting the maf, the engine should run better and the ecu will run on default values. Not an ideal situation but sometimes needs must short term

Thanks for that. Just took it for a run round the block, didn't seem too bad. Fingers crossed.
