There are not many noises made from this boiler, but if it sounds like a aeroplane taking off now and again , you may find the heat exchanger clogged with debris, I would either put in a sludge remover and leave for a while and or clean the system.

ideas are if it has external plate heat exchanger that this could be blocked or change limit stat, ie out of caliberation , hope this helps.

They will cover you straight away even if the boilers faulty,, no probs, number is or one of the numbers is 0800 032 7232, you will have to check the price etc but it does come down year after year, Then no matter how many parts and time your covered all the time.

First thing i would do would be to gas analyse the boiler, look what its running at, this would tell you mixtures, ratio etc. Depending on what the result was make an informed decision what to do next. Been to some where the gas valve was a mile out and running incorrect and possibly dangerous...

oh yes, tell the RGI to repressure the expansion vessel as well.

If its sparking outside the combustion box, and shorting onto casing then its got to be poor insulation round the lead or loose connector .

Good one this ,,,, Try a new board if its never had one , 105e usually bullet proof on all other components, changed the board on a lot of these and cured all different faults,, other than that take out some insurance with baxi cos could get expensive , hope that helps.

plate heat exchanger blocked,, clean or replace , better to replace,, if the problem is only happening on hot water , hope that helps

Thing is Harry, To be good at fault finding takes time, late days, headaches, going down the wrong path, and experiance, nobody is going to tell you any sort of shortcut or you would be as good as them without earning the hassle :wink:

A bit of a nasty one this, I would change both flow switches first , see how that goes, then change plate heat ex, ,, hope that helps

Dont forget you may need new seals to pump manifold and new 3/4 washer to primary left hand side diverter, How many times rojaca half the bloody water section has to be changed cos you disturbed something,, not a bad job like you said matey if you have the room to work round the boiler, shawd :lol:

sounds that micro switch is sticking, swap both 2 port valves , i am no sparky but have had this problem on a few occasions , changed the valves and it cured the problem, worked for me.
