Not a bad effort at all. As said above it has been done by a builder.
I also point the valley, keeps small cuts in place better in my opinion. We all do things different.
Cutting always looks rough til the ridge tiles are on, no point it being anything special.
Just make sure he strikes a line and gets the hip straight!
Valley is fine, that will need pointing as well. Some roofers don't though.
Roofers? That wasn't done by roofers.
Doesn't look anything up with your lead, a split should be obvious but we can not see much in the 1 picture really.
That style of bonding gutter is supposed to have a gap so you can point it up, hence the grit surface. The water will be running underneath the tiles and in your side through holes that the roofers have probably made while fitting it.
Probably not felted properly underneath either.
Yep as alastair said, Eaves slate is still fitted.
This just takes the place of your DPC or breather membrane in the gutter, whatever your normal method is.
Brief history; the roof was originally slate and replaced with tiles in the 90s.
It was then put back to slate in 2002, badly.
We are currently in the process of redoing the whole thing in reclaimed slate to match the other 2 houses we completed a few years ago.
I know members on here...

Just buy a cheapo one for that job.
That's how they should look, quite often these tiles pop up on ebay basically being given away.
