How best correct a shed base corner higher than rest?

yes I have cross battened them temporarily they’re all vertical, although can’t be exactly vertical due to the slope. bearers are less than 600mm I think just under 400mm or so. I might take out a load more earth then, try again. Think I’ll get a digital level to be more accurate.

How best correct a shed base corner higher than rest?

If risers can take a large shed I’d be tempted to remove the ecobase grid, if risers can sit on earth.

How best correct a shed base corner higher than rest?

Yes honeycomb with chippings on earth. Don’t have pic at the moment. When I slip a 3x2 under the back left corner it’s almost level, that corner a bit too high then. So I think it’s about 1.5” difference I reckon. But the top beams are visibly quite out.

How best correct a shed base corner higher than rest?

Chippings. Manufacturer says it can be used on drives for cars and such. They’d even have more force per square inch with 4 wheels where as I have 7 timber 2x3 bearings that the 18mm osb sits on to spread the load. I think it will be ok I’ve used them before. Just need the base flat! It’s not...

How best correct a shed base corner higher than rest?

I levelled a patch of earth for a 9’ x 8’ shed I’m building myself. It’s using ecobase plastic grid system. I thought it seemed all level with the spirit level. Finished the stud walls today and clearly the top front beam is not level with the back one. I think it’s the front left corner too...

Made mistake on canopy, how best to fix

I built a canopy the other day it went well. So I decided to build another one on another part of the house. I’ve messed something up as it was different to the first so sealing advice. See attached pics. The ledger on the first canopy extends off the house onto a post but over shoots the post...

Reasons why this RCD keeps tripping?

Thanks again. it’s stopped happening at all now. We’ve watched loads of tele and had it on all day including the soundbar with no tripping. So I was unable to test if it’s when the soundbar is on with the tv. So even more stumped now! I don’t know if it’s fixed or the issue still there and...

Reasons why this RCD keeps tripping?

Thanks for all your replies. sorry for the late reply but it’s taken me ages to find what I think is the issue. The RCD only trips when my old Plasma TV is on. But not just on, even in standby, so just plugged in. I’m sure I even had a trip when it was plugged in but off and not on standby...

Reasons why this RCD keeps tripping?

Does anyone know why the attached RCD keeps tripping? It’s for the plug sockets. Not tripped for a good few weeks then this evening tripped about 4 times at about 1 or 2 minutes apart now seems to stabilise again. Thanks

How to hold vacuum cleaner same time as heavy 2 handled SDS drill?

I used to have a single handed electric hammer drill. It wasn’t heavy. I have black mortar in my walls so it’s crucial to hold the vacuum cleaner below the holes when drilling otherwise it’s a nightmare to clean. One general builder got the dust all over a new cream carpet and we couldn’t get it...

Can I screw feather edge horizontally to posts?

Thanks for the great reply. You’ve answered some other questions I hadn’t asked. I thought 2 nails would be better but your answer explains why not. Thanks. I recently built a canopy and most websites I found said concrete the posts in which I have. So am a bit worried now.

Can I screw feather edge horizontally to posts?

I am going to build a fence. Just 3 posts, 2 spans 6ft between. I thought I’d concrete the posts in then screw horizontal feather edge straight to the posts. Saves making up a frame for vertical feather edge. Thing is I can’t see any examples of this online. I can only find feather edge on...

My Pure White Shutters are Cream. Is Pure White Cream, or have they supplied the wrong colour?

Hipca White is not an official RAL colour they told me. Guess it doesn’t matter if it’s the white you want!

My Pure White Shutters are Cream. Is Pure White Cream, or have they supplied the wrong colour?

I didn’t even see that on the end on a website as the white is almost like the white background. That looks whiter than any other but RAL told me today signal white is the brightest. I’ll have to check.

My Pure White Shutters are Cream. Is Pure White Cream, or have they supplied the wrong colour?

Yeah but wasn’t offered RAL colours. I wasn’t asked the RAL name. I was asked what colour, I said white to go with all the other white. Only after it was fitted and saw it was yellow was I told it was Pure White. Been told they’ll sort it now anyway. Luckily the panels were sent wrong way...

My Pure White Shutters are Cream. Is Pure White Cream, or have they supplied the wrong colour?

”but it's the RAL number which is used to specify the paint, not the name“ - the name Pure White IS RAL 9010 so they are linked. Asking for pure white would get 9010. I contacted RAL and I’m saddened to say they confirm that Pure White is a cream colour. So my shutters are correct. And I’m...

My Pure White Shutters are Cream. Is Pure White Cream, or have they supplied the wrong colour?

I will see if I can dig it out, but be good to hear from people who have experience with it too. About this "so it is not a matter of opinion or interpretation" -> do you mean my opinion or interpretation of the name "pure white"? If so then its a bit of a strange comment, I mean pure white is...

My Pure White Shutters are Cream. Is Pure White Cream, or have they supplied the wrong colour?

Hi, I was wondering if someone can help with with RAL colour Pure White. I bought some shutters from a local company who order them in from China. They are bathroom shutters so not standard material (mdf?) but something else due to the moisture. I ordered pure white, RAL 9010. PURE WHITE. I...

How to hold down/flatten flashing (leadax)

I’ve tried it since, but not with the £35 they sell! But a different one I have already and it doesn’t stay down flush it still flexes back up a bit. But even if it was down it’s easy enough to lift it, so am sure wind would pull it up. I’ve stuck two pieces together with the lead sealant to...
