    We'll be moving next year so this is also just to polish up the bathroom a bit as it hasn't been done for years. As the walnut isn't dark enough am I better with either walnut or oak then adding a stain followed by a lacquer or oil?

    I did contemplate buying veneer and cut MDF then sticking the veneer on myself but I've not done it before, nor do I know how to trim the veneer off so would more than likely end up making a mess!

    Thanks. Festool is certainly not in my budget unfortunately. Bosch will have to be the one due to cost. I'll grab some of those SurfPrep but not sure what you mean by Mesh is better for filler, paper for gloss?
