Hi Tony, Brand new programmer (probably not needed!). The CH motor was very hot as well the other day before I could get the boiler to start and all the pipes were cold. Could it be that there is something wrong with the microswitch in the CH valve or the motor? Daz

This was hot not warm. I don't mean so hot I couldn't touch it but almost! What could cause the demand for CH on if the room stat was off?

Not sure if this is important although it probably is but the valve motor on the CH side is very warm / hot!

what confuses me is what device sends the call for heat to the boiler?

I have 2 x 2 port Honeywell (I think they're Honeywell) valves

Bought a PCB and a new programmer! I'm mad! Going to take them both back once I know what's causing the problem.

I've also tried a new programmer! The only way of getting the boiler to light is to put a wire between live and switched live. Anything to test / try?

Installed a new PCB and still the same problem. There is no power on the switched live. The fan makes no attempt to start and there's no power going to it or the CH pump either. Could it be the air pressure switch?

Where would I test for voltage for call to heat Tony?

Hi All, As the topic says she won't fire up at all. Not for hot water or central heating. I've reset the programmer in case that was it but still no good. No spark, no fan coming on, nothing. There is power to the PCB though. Anything I can try? Cheers Daz

I'll be signing up to the BG Homecare 100 scheme with a £99.00 call out but the earliest they can come is Tuesday next week. Is there no way of getting the main valve to open?

We replaced the gas valve and still the same problem. It appears there's no power being sent to the main gas valve only the pilot so can I assume it's a PCB?

I've removed the case before to replace the fan.

What else could it be and how can I check....got a cold house and screaming wife!
