    Grant oil boiler flue installation.

I'm somewhat baffled by the grant flue system - if you fix the section through the wall and finish wall internally there seems no way of getting boiler into position and fitting the boiler end bit! What am I missing here?

    Which terminal is switched live?

Thanks... Yes, I considered wireless but the house has some very impenetrable walls, and I've got the access now I device on wired. So it's as simple as L, N, E and then switched live to terminal 4, with terminal 1 and 4 connected....

    Which terminal is switched live?

Hah, yes. It's an S Plan plus with a Grant oil boiler. 3 x 2 port valves controlled by a EPH 3 zone programmer, with (eventually) 3 EPH wired programmable room stats.

    Terrecotta tiles onto limecrete NIGHTMARE!

I havnt tried any primer - I understood that would prevent the floor from 'breathing'.... It's a new limecrete slab on glass foam insulation. ..

    Terrecotta tiles onto limecrete NIGHTMARE!

Very porous tiles, and very porous floor! Tried every combination of sharp sand, builders sand and NHL5. Won't spread, won't stick, absolute nightmare!

I'm confused by this shower mixer!

Plumbed this in today so got to the bottom of it... The bottom outlet is active when the diverter is in the central position - where you would assume it was in the off position. I guess it is for a bath filler as @cross thread said, though the bath filler would need a tap... Odd in my...

New garage - roof size known, how to size slab?

No, we're laying a reinforced concrete slab and building off the top of that.

New garage - roof size known, how to size slab?

I'm thinking that in order to minimize material waste my new garage roof will be exactly 6m wide. That way the deck and insulation will use whole sheets.. Taking into account the cladding needs 50mm, I need to know how wide to pour the slab.... That make sence?

    Angled back late elbow.? Wtf!

Fool that I am I fixed a back plate elbow to a plumb noggin, and proceeded to build shower.... All cement boarded in, tray fitted.... Only now I try the threaded outlet fitting to discover the thread is on about a 15 degree angle. Annoying as hell.

    Plumbing a pumped back boiler...

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice as to how to plumb a rayburn back boiler into a spare heating coil in our hot water cylinder. The stove was previously plumbed into the old cylinder on a gravity circuit, which seemed highly inefficient. I want to add a circulating pump, triggered by a pipe...

My kingdom for a decent bath waste!

Is it really so hard to manufacture a decent bath waste?? Just tried to fit a Mcalpine to discover the bag was missing it's screw.... Prob a good thing cos the fitting is obviously total ****e.... Plastic thread bound to strip/fail.... Anyone reccomend a decent one? Plug and chain type with...

Armourcast bath - screw legs to base?

No guide marked on base, but I put em on 250 mm from each end of the baseboard.. Used a bit of gaffer tape around drill bit... All fine, until I came to fit the legs... The bolts are too long / the bars too short (so bolts foul on bath) to get the bath set to a sensible height. Gonna have chop...
