    The house was built in 1980,but i think its the original system thats in it.All thats been changed is the boiler,which is a 1 year old condensing boiler by british gas ,they also replaced the TRV with british gas ones.I just wish they'd replaced the rads.

    The thing is if its a euro 2pin then surely the power supply is only 110v and if you jam it into uk power sockets (230v) then they're gonna blow it up anyway.

    Cleaning ceramic floor tiles

    I got some black cheapy (Homebase £5 sq/m) tiles ages ago for my bathroom.The problem is I grouted them with white grout and forgot to clean them thoughly.Does anyone know a good product to clean them ,I tried some powerful cleaner that I got from tops tiles ,but it didnt work very well. Thanks

    Best wood paint for stair case

    Just a quick question.What is the best brand/type of wood paint for a stair well ,I was told to use gloss but it always seems to have a really lumpy finish and make it look cheap.

    sorry ,I meant the vertical bits of wood that join the stairs together.I just wondered if they were taking the load of the stair above ,so if i chopped them would I wake up in the morning and find i have no stair.

    The stringers? ,are either screwed or nailed(nailed more likely) into the landings,and imgetting the joiner to make me new post so it looks better thats why I'm not sure if I should let him chop them.
