I had some new windows fitted. There was a delay with window boards on my behalf and therefore the fitter stated he would return when I had them and complete the whole job. He left off the trims around the support poles etc internally/externally and other bits not completed. £1000 is outstanding...

I have a 1-2" gap between my concrete area and the house. I'm a bit concerned with regards to rats, mice etc getting in through the foundations. Whats the best way to cure this problem, pour a load of concrete down the gaps? Any advice Id gladly appreciate.

Ah yes the house may be sold within a yr so prob best to go for one offering the 10 yr cert. The five yr one is by the cheap as chips sparki.

Im havin a rewire done and a new electrician is completing the job. He will issue a cert at the end but stated it only lasts 5 years?

How long does an electrical certificate last please? A very cheap sparki informed me its five years, is this correct?

The sparki got back to me today stating that he would carry out the inspection and that the certificate would last for 5 years. Is this the normal time, I heard somewhere that its usually ten? Hes not asking for any money upfront either which is something I guess.
