Slow draining bath - P trap blocks fast?

There is a slight rise, but I never worried about this because the long pipe from under the bath has quite a steep gradiant on it. Another shower this evening that seemed to drain away fine...I'll check it myself tomorrow morning! Edit: couldnt resist running the shower to see for myself...

Slow draining bath - P trap blocks fast?

Hi guys, I had a new bathroom installed a year ago. All was well until the last month or so the bath/shower was draining very slowly. It got to the point where there would be almost an inch of water at your feet. I took apart the P-trap underneath and found it 80% blocked (ie unit 'U'...

Your advice - sealing in very narrow gap

Don't suppose you could elaborate? I figured with the nuts underneath the bath lip it would be impossble to get to them without moving the bath?

Your advice - sealing in very narrow gap

The taps look to have a nut underneath the bath lip, the bath is in perfectly and by the looks of it was glued to the wall as well. I don't think the taps are coming off without backing half the bathroom to pieces! :(

Thank you for the advice mate! Am I looking at resealing the entire bath or can I get away with just around the taps and smoothing it into the existing stuff? :)

Your advice - sealing in very narrow gap

Hi guys, This is a 'what would you do thread'. My dilemma is I have two taps on the side of my bath which are 1-2mm from the wall behind them. The sealant behind them has gone mouldy and could do with replacing. I have used some grot buster (recommended on here) which has helped (pic below...

    Sealing Behind Taps

I don't suppose you can recommend any mould remover spray can you? The varies tries with bleach & mr muscle didn't seem to do much!

    Sealing Behind Taps

The bath has the same size ledge all the way round, so would have ended up like this however! I wasn't there when he fitted the taps, but I have a nasty feeling the nut that holes them on may be under the lip of the bath - in accessible without removing the whole bath...

    Sealing Behind Taps

Hi Guys, Last year I had a new bathroom installed. Everything is to my liking but the sealant behind the taps has gone totally black. We rinse the shower after every use and it gets a good weekly clean, and everything but this area is fine. Now I have taken the bath panels off and seen...

HDMi cable from lounge to bedroom

I plan on getting an HDMi splitter connected to my TIVo box, then have one HDMi cable to my big TV in the lounge, then run the second HDMi cable to my bedroom TV. With an RF extender & second remote I can then have TIVO in both rooms of the house! :) Sounds like following the coax cable...

HDMi cable from lounge to bedroom

I am looking at running an HDMi cable from my lounge to my bedroom, directly above it. I am currently looking at two ways of doing it; 1) Drill into the cavity wall upstairs and try and fish the cable out at the cavity wall in the lounge. 2) drill to the outside, run the cable up the...

    Shed buying advice

tbh the value of the stuff inside isnt a massive concern for me, I have security lighting in the garden and the wheels are not massively valuable. I also have a large well maintained fence around the garden & my home policy does cover 'sheds' with no mention of type etc :)

    Shed buying advice

I was looking at those sheds but as i will be using it so store my winter wheels/summer wheels for my car at any one time part of the shed will always be taken up. Same with a big Mitre Saw I have which wont get much use for the time being. As a result I quite liked the 'deep' shed to have them...

    Shed buying advice

i am looking at buying a shed today but i am struggling to know the difference between a good shed and a bad shed. Both are similar priced, one is slightly bigger then the other (10cm wider) but the other looks more robust in the poor quality pictures. Can anyone shed (ha ha ha...) any light...
