    Garage conversion external wall advice

My daughter recently had a new kitchen and garage built. We specified plywood directly behind the plasterboard on the walls that would carry the wall units as one of these was studded. Also the garage was built cavity construction but definately had no insulation.

    Damp proofing DIY

I think you need to be clearer or at least a little more explicit. "Damp" is the term anyonegives to more wet on the inside than the outside :? IE can be condensation, penetrating water/rain or rising damp. All these need addressing seperately/independantly as the cures are very...

Yes of course, but they won't have the upstairs ripped up to run the direct supply, (I did the 1st fix for the sparky and ran the armoured 6mm and the 10mm main earth externally but access is restricted now the project is about finished). I spotted something in the regs about a regularly used...

    electrical earth to kitchen

Thanks, Yes of course, it is all to be certified as the whole thing has been done correctly for building regs and planning. I will assume the electrician has done the check on the gas side. The other issue I have yet to resolve. If as stated I run a 10mm standard single earth from consumer...
