Hi everyone,
I am in the process of changing my fireplace, I currently have the old style fireplaces with the chimney breast on the outside of the house so the wall is flush.
What I would like to do is create a recess for the TV - so in essence create a breast on the wall. I am wanting to put...
I guess my only option is to either leave the windows closed With a dehumidifier which I don’t have one at the moment.
I’ve just left a couple windows slightly open even though it’s very humid outside lol
I’m not living there at the moment but don’t have a problem with leaving windows open a little.
So there’s no need for heating as long as there’s ventilation? Thanks
It’s hard for me to control the heating as I’m not living in the house, and don’t want it to cause cracking.
I guess it’s a matter of heating and ventilating at the same time?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently getting my whole house plastered after a full rewire and was wondering how it’s best to dry out the plaster.

I then took a roofer round who said the roof looks good to him too, apart from the pointing and ridge tiles probably needing...
The survey did state he cannot see any signs of water ingress or rot etc. He also said the exterior condition of the tiles looked good too. He just noted some daylight and torching coming away.
I'm hoping he said what he said to just cover his own back more than it actually needing a roof. As...
Thank you for the reply :)
Externally what kind of pics do I need to take? Close up of the tiles? Or the whole roof? As I haven’t mentioned this to the EA yet I can really only take pics of the front.
Thank you! I’ll see if I can get a hold of some pics of the outside.
Based on the report the surveyor did say apart from the torching the tiles are in good condition
Cheers Harry.
If there is no sign of water ingress or damp etc does that mean I can possibly have more than 2-3 years on that same roof? I know a lot of people say surveyors exaggerate to cover their own backs.
I just wanted to be sure whether or not I should renegotiate my offer based off of...
