Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

I'll get the number tomorrow but the manual I have has the boiler model on the front ecotec 418 plus and I thought the images below are showing the terminal block both in the manual and on the actual board?

Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

Only the boiler was changed 7 years ago everything else with the exception of the new ups3 pump, which was just a replacement for a grundfos pump on its last legs is as was.

Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

I've attached images of my electrical board and the current wiring also two pages from the manual. I've timed the pump again tonight and it runs for 4mins36secs once the timer switches the boiler off, exact time as before.

Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

I have a Vaillant ecotec plus 418 boiler and my system is the image uploaded below. I will get a picture of the wiring in the boiler asap. I have a primary circulation pump that runs constantly when the timer control is on just circulating the thermal store to the boiler and back and a second...

Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

I'm done with you mate, I'm just asking for some help not constant sarcasm from a key board warrior. I'm not going to attempt any electrics myself, I'm just trying to understand what he told me so I know what I'm asking for and I'm not going to get ripped off when I get someone to do the job...

Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

Hi thanks for the reply. The boiler always shuts off when the timeswitch clicks off and the pump continues to run, I'm not sure if it's the same length of time but I will find out.

Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

If your suggesting he didn't actually say what I posted then I beg to differ in fact he wrote it down for me. I was only asking a question and wasn't expecting sarcasm. If I didn't need to ask I wouldn't but I thought that's what this forum was for.

Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

I understand what your saying but I was posting what he told me, literally. The feed needs to come from the boiler to the pump for it to control the pump overrun but my confusion is my pump is running for 5 mins once the timer switches off so do I need this extra wiring.

but if it is running over as it should then where is it getting the power from ? I will take a picture of the wiring as soon as I get chance, hopefully that will help.

Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

The pump is wired to the boiler, but there is a terminal block within the boiler that says pump and nothing is attached. My understanding from what the engineer said is that control timer is currently controlling my boiler and pump on and off. There should be a live feed from the pump back to...

Live feed to boiler from primary circulation pump.

I've just had my hx changed by Vaillant in my 7yr old boiler. The guy that changed it said I had no live feed from the primary circulation pump back to the boiler. He said I should have one as this will allow the boiler to control the pump when the system shuts off via the timer control to allow...

    Fernox ds40

Attached is a picture of their recommendations. I'm reading it as clean boiler and 1 Rad, am I misunderstanding it?

    Fernox ds40

A Vaillant engineer has diagnosed the cause of my boiler noise to be the heat exchanger, which is what I suspected. They have taken a water sample and Fernox report says I need to first clean the system with Fernox F3 cleaner, then clean the boiler and 1 rad only with Fernox DS40, then treat the...

    Salus rt310rf

I have a British gas rs2 mechanical roomstat which for me is in the wrong place. I'm wanting to replace this with a salus rt310rf wireless roomstat, will this be ok. Should have added the current roomstat switches my central heating circulation pump on and off depending on temp setting, only if...

    Noise has returned?

My ground floor rads are on drop downs (I think that's the correct terminology) so I drained each rad individually each time I drained so they all had a good flush out. The noise is literally only there when the boiler is on max flame once flame reduces it goes instantly?
