electrics for ne understairs WC (light and fan)

Thanks guys. Sorry I missed these replies earlier! The fan is indeed to simply extract bad smells. Not planning too many ‘bad smells’ in there but since there is no windows I wanted to avoid a situation where the whole downstairs of the house smells ‘bad’. decided against the overrun timer...

prime/seal door frame casing before plastering?

Hi guys, Just wondering if it's a good idea or pointless to prime paint a door lining/casing in situ before plastering around it to try and block moisture getting into the frame and possibly having it swell as a result? is this a thing? Overthinking?

big offset pan conncetion issues! help would be great

best way to suggest raising branch? sever the strap on boss, raise the whole vertical with some pipe under branch and then put on new strap on boss and blank old one? or cut small section from the middle (under strap on boss), put on slip collar, raise branch slip down collar

big offset pan conncetion issues! help would be great

hmm ok. tricky enoughto get access to it but its probably managable. I did have concerns with the big offset in such a tight space. Gap on the latch side of door, butt hinges

@conny sorry I may have explained incorrectly. I have installed them perfectly flush already. But the latch side of door is catching on the frame (gap too big on the hinge side compared to my spacing with the coin). Basically, when the hinge is in a closed position the hinge faces have a gap...

Gap on the latch side of door, butt hinges

Did a dry fitting of the door into the frame and it fit perfectly with 20cent coin (2p UK equivalent) gap the whole way around. I installed hinges on the door and was really happy with how flush i got the hinges into the door and frame. In spite of this the door is very tight/doesnt close on the...
