    BAD CENTRAL HEATING INHIBITER

It's not that cheap though.... I've had Sentinel X100 recommended by several people.

Dosing both inhibiter and leak sealer

My central heating is about due a new dose of inhibiter. I'm using Sentinel X100 rapid dose. I'm also going to dose with Sentinel leak sealer (also rapid dose) as there must be a small leak somewhere - pressure falls faster than it should. Can anyone advise me whether I should circulate...

    Blocked condensate

I can assure you that a blocked condensate drain will cause exactly what you describe on this model. I have the same boiler and had exactly those symptoms when the drain froze up during the recent big freeze.

    Loud toilet filling

Who are you referring to ? This is a discussion forum and people are allowed to discuss topics. Talk about stating the obvious ! Who said it wasn't exactly ? ? Of course it will be. I've already stated that in my posts. I have also clearly explained the difference between...

    Loud toilet filling

If a pipe is pressurised to 30bar at one end and has no flow through it, then the pressure will be at 30 bar throughout the pipe. If there is flow the pressure will be lower than 30bar downstream of any restrictions. If both ends of the pipe were at 30 bar there would be no flow - It is...

    Loud toilet filling

Totally wrong. You clearly have no knowledge of even basic physics. . It never ceases to amaze me how people who so obviously know nothing about the topic under discussion post such nonsense on threads ....

    Loud toilet filling

You've got it a**e about face. As I have already stated, it is the pressure drop across the isolating valve ( once you have flow ) that reduces the pressure downstream and therefore the flowrate. Flow between two points on a length of pipe depends on the difference in pressure...

    Loud toilet filling

It will reduce the pressure downstream of the valve once you get flow - Basic physics.... The reduced pressure is why you get reduced flow. Simples if you know what you're talking about....

New Toilet - Water around bottom of pan, condensation?

Ignoring the ignorant vulgarity of your post, where exactly did I suggest otherwise ? ? - My point was that it would be very confusing if the leak was in a colour unrelated to the colours put in either the cistern or the pan.

can condensate pipe terminate in downpipe

It should be OK if it's in 32mm - According to the manufacturers 32mm doesn't need to be insulated. However, if we have a repeat of this year's bizarre weather when it stayed at about -7 all day and down to about -15 at night all bets are off.... You might be better to put some insulation on...

How Do I know If My Washer's Motor Brushes Are Knackered ?

Why on earth would you want to remove the motor and get a reconditioned motor just because the brushes had worn down ? .
