just a thought but on that particular panel if the batt has been faulty for a while it tends to burn out the resistor that controls the charging circuit.it shouldnt have happened in your case with the batt only being six months old ,but its worth a look

maybe it looks like all the wires are connected in the chock block but you might have pushed one in to far and screwed down on the insulation .

do as you say but remove the aux poss and neg wires in the panel that supply the pirs.really no need to remove the batt or the fuses if your careful not to short the aux wires when reconnecting them

you have turned the chime on by mistake.to turn it off press the chime button the zone that is on chime will light up press the corrisponding number on your keypad the led will go off press reset .that should sort it .

surely if someone doesn't know what 6 mil cable is they shouldn't be installing it.all trades have slang / short names for equipment .i mean do you ask for a m 10channel nut or an 10 mil zeb. is it a four terminal click ceiling rose or an emergency greg.

i once used a cutter like the one in the link .set it to somthing like 70mm the problem is you cant really see the blade when cutting because of the guard. the upshot was the blade slipped and when id finished i could get my head through the hole .first and last time i used it .

in basic terms the physical size of the battery is AAA the 600-700 mah is the amount of power it holds on a full charge so within reason it will make no difference if you use a larger or smaller mah .the phone will run for longer or shorter dependant on which one you fit .hope that helps
