    Tripping consumer unit

If the opinion is that is my only option to eliminate certain parts of the circuit, from the procedure outlined earlier,I think I will have to get someone in who knows what they are doing. I wondered if there were any more checks I could do myself, but my thread seemed to have got hijacked. Many...

    Tripping consumer unit

It sounds a bit more involved than I thought,I was thinking I could split the circuit and see if it trips again. It is on a ring,I'm a plumber,so tend to think of a flow and return situation,I know where the cables run, having done most of the donkey work myself when I fitted the kitchen(15...

Ideal isar m30100 combi broken, trips when try to power on

Its quite easy with these boilers simply to unplug everything from the pcb,and plug it back in again until the problem occurs, usually pump, possibly fan,or diverter cartridge leaking and dripping onto the molex connector to actuator. PCB,doesnt usually blow the fuse in the spur.

Drained down old system, re-filled it - now rads stone cold

Try stopping and starting the pump, also what ive done before in similar circumstances,is to put a hose on a drain off on one of the rads fed by the up and over pipework, stick the hose out the door, open the drain off fully, and let the water run out, hopefully the air will be forced out with it,you...

Nice how people assume they are being ripped off by plumbers, but don't question solicitors, estate agents etc etc fees.
