Mains Electricity Operated Chainsaw Parkside 2200W vs. Titan 2000W

For Parkside 2200W Chainsaw, I was disppointed with this video for its performamce. It looks underpowered I thought. But no, it looks like the user error - no PPE to start, and the way he was cutting is NOT right, and maybe did let down the saw instead the saw letting down the user.

Mains Electricity Operated Chainsaw Parkside 2200W vs. Titan 2000W

I forgot I had the Titan SDS drill too. It was 2 year ago last time I used it. It is somewhere in the shed now forgotten until you mentioned it. I used it to put up a new fence in the space where the old fence was blown away by the January harricane. To dig out the fence post 2 ft deep...

Mains Electricity Operated Chainsaw Parkside 2200W vs. Titan 2000W

Sure. I agree with your points. And I went for Titan Chainsaw. It was a deal for £49.99 from £55 at the local SFX. I also had a £10 discount voucher, so it was total £39.99, for a brand new chainsaw what a bargain. It was all set up in 10 minutes in the garden, chain oil put in, and the...

Keeping cats out of the garden?

My wife hates cats, so it is a no-no. She hates even smell of cats. Indeed when I go out into the garden, even I can smell very strong cat urine from all over. But the cat mess on the grass is just sheer vandalism we do regard them as. It is quite serious problem here.

Keeping cats out of the garden?

Someone suggsted to shoot them with the toy water pistol whenever they enter your garden. I wonder if it would be effective solution. I had tried it long time ago with the water gun shooting at them. But the problem was the cats used to come in do the messing on the grass when I am not around...

Mains Electricity Operated Chainsaw Parkside 2200W vs. Titan 2000W

If I cut trees and wood logs regularly, I would buy something higher spec. or even pro grade chainsaws. But to use just once or twice a year, and keep them in the shed for the rest of the year, it feels waste paying out more money than the cheapest. All I need is something that works...

Mains Electricity Operated Chainsaw Parkside 2200W vs. Titan 2000W

It must have been quite a shock and scary. I have used petrol chainsaws before, and luckily I had not had any problems with safety issues. I have a forestry work helmet with ear defenders and metal face net all in one, so I always wear it even when I cut hedges. Have read about some horror...

Mains Electricity Operated Chainsaw Parkside 2200W vs. Titan 2000W

Both are DIY grade chainsaws in cheap price, and maybe much of muchness. But which one would be better in terms of durability, parts availablity and performance? I cut down a few trees in the garden this summer using the hand saws, and they are still lying down in the garden on the ground. They...

    Holes in the privet hedge

There are some holes in our privet hedge (quite large in places size of a bucket to football in other parts), where there used to be the other plants near it blocking the sun. I have pulled out the plants last year, so sun light will not be blocked to the hedge anymore. This year, the holes are...

Why do Bosch make 2x different rechargeable battery types of same voltage 18 volts?

Screwfix were doing good deals on Bosch drill set this January. That's where I got my newer ones (still have the older ones from 2017). It came with the combi drill, impact driver and 2x batteries in the hard platic casing. The batteries were only 2 aH ones (18V). I think it was £165 for the...

Why do Bosch make 2x different rechargeable battery types of same voltage 18 volts?

I am trying to reduce spening on buying more new tools. When I saw the Bosch long pole hedge trimmer bare was £100, but the same trimmer with the different green colour charger and battery as a kit came to £159, I didn't want to pay the difference. Because I have 5 blue coloured 18V Bosch...

Why do Bosch make 2x different rechargeable battery types of same voltage 18 volts?

I have been using Bosch for my hand tools such as drills, impact drivers etc, hence have a few Bosch batteries in blue colour (18V). Now I was trying to get some Bosch garden tools such as Hedge trimmers, cordless chainsaws, grass strimmers etc, but they run under different type of Bosch...

    Sharpening hedge trimmer blades

Yes, it was really taking off the blades from the trimmer seemed tricky job than actual sharpening work. Once many year ago, I used have an old petrol engined "Mountfield"?? hedge trimmer which was working well. I took it apart to take off the blades to sharpen, but couldn't put them back...

    Sharpening hedge trimmer blades

I have been watching a 60V battery opereated hedge trimmer on Amazon, but when I went to buy it, they hiked the priced by £20 :( , making over budget for me. So I will just use the old Bosch trimmer, or will look for something else in better price. :(

    Sharpening hedge trimmer blades

Yeah, on the other hand, I was also thinking of getting a new hedge trimmer. The LI-On battery 18V or 20V 40V or even 60V battery operated hedge trimmers seem getting very popular.

    Sharpening hedge trimmer blades

I have an old Bosch hedge trimmer electric powered. It has been about 7-8 years since new, and used a lot. It is quite heavy, but the long blades are useful reaching out to the thick hedge tops. Being electric powered, the chord is problematic. The chord had been cut twice while operating by...
