We've got two bulk bags of hardcore for a patio but unlike the other bags we've had these have no larger stones in at all and are just basically sand and really small gravel. Is that normal and would it be ok to go under a patio? Thanks

We are in a similar position with the moss and went for porcelain paving but a word of warning the guys who were going to lay it had difficultly as it needs to be spot on with the level and they gave up as were struggling. We are now finding it difficult to get quotes on doing the work.

Thanks for all your help, there is certainly a lot of different options and the costs can soon rack up. I like the idea of the profile as it will give a more diffused light but it does add quite a bit so I might reduce the number of areas I have the plinth lights. I'm sure I will need a power...

It does look like a bit of a cock up, even my other half who originally wanted to leave them now wants to move them. The fittings are about 8mm wide plugs.
