All you need to do is use Zinnser123 and then two coats of masonry JOB DONE!I've used it on all types of brick/masonry for years and its better than any stabilizer.

I use Johnstone's mainly it looks sheen'y at 1st but don't worry it does dry to a mat finish, waterbased eggshell will keep its whiteness longer but if your not use to using the stuff the finish can look bad.
