It was working fine all afternoon but has now locked out and can't get it restarted. The control box where the reset button is was very wet. Will it sort itself out once it dries out or do I need a new control box?

The catch on our outside boiler is not very good and with the wind and rain today it blew open the door. I have been out all day and come home to it. I have got it to shut now but the rain water did get in and it was damp inside the boiler. Boiler is running now - should I be worried?

It's a thermacon 50/80 it's working fine at the moment although the hot water seems very hot. Thing is when I get anyone else out they just look at it and say well it's hard to find the fault if it's working now

Can't thank you enough - thank you thank you thank you I moved it the first time and it resisted going back, tried again and it went back itself and did it again went back itself. Hopefully that's it but will keep an eye on it for a while just in case it goes back to manual again

Sorry I know this is a dumb question but when you say with the electrics fused spur isolated, will switching of the central heating mains suffice so the controls are all off (there is an electrical switch in the airing cupboard labelled 'central heating' ) Not competent enough to do anything...
