    Salamander Pump slow to start

We have had a RSP100 pump installed nearly 4 years ago and has been working fine until the last month when we noticed a reduced flow in one of the showers and a pulsing coming from the pump when it was turned off. We have now had the valve on the shower replaced and a new NRV fitted to the...

    Rain & Outside Boiler

It was working fine all afternoon but has now locked out and can't get it restarted. The control box where the reset button is was very wet. Will it sort itself out once it dries out or do I need a new control box?

    Rain & Outside Boiler

The catch on our outside boiler is not very good and with the wind and rain today it blew open the door. I have been out all day and come home to it. I have got it to shut now but the rain water did get in and it was damp inside the boiler. Boiler is running now - should I be worried?

Help! - oil fired outside boiler packed up

Ok so boilerman been round again and cleaned the photocell (apparently it had a slight film on it). Boiler is working now but my worry is it was serviced in October when the photocell was cleaned, what would cause it to get a slight film on it so quickly or is this normal? Would just a...

Ok so boiler man came round and I watched him check the flue and stick that thing in to check co2 emmissions and other stuff -all correct. I asked him about the solenoid and the photocel;l and he said as it is running fine now it can't be either of those. We stood watching it for at least...

    Honeywell Motorised Valve

Sorry I know this is a dumb question but when you say with the electrics fused spur isolated, will switching of the central heating mains suffice so the controls are all off (there is an electrical switch in the airing cupboard labelled 'central heating' ) Not competent enough to do anything...

    Honeywell Motorised Valve

Thank you? Just so I get it right - If I set it to manual should it automatically go back to Auto on it's own instead of me forcing it? So far I have had to force it back but have only done it a couple of times. Also should the system be on or off when I move lever back and forth?

    Honeywell Motorised Valve

The radiators in my house today were getting very hot despite the thermostat on CH being low and therefore radiators should not have been on at all. This did not happen over the summer and only started happening today. The Hot Water was on at the time so I did a bit of investigating on here...

Help! - oil fired outside boiler packed up

Woke up to a cold house this morning, the boiler had switched off. Managed to get it going by clicking the restart button (so the timeout light went off) but and really worried going to end up with no heating on Christmas Day. We had this happen a couple of years ago at exactly the same time...
