Ok so the hot water issue is more then likely just an air lock. If you have a mixer tap on the bath then hold your hand over the spout to block it off, open the hot tap fully then open the cold and force the water back through the hot pipes. Keep your hand over the spout for ten seconds or so...

Are we talking twin impeller shower pump here ? Have you purged the water through correctly ? Try disconnecting the shower hose from the bar mixer and turning the pump on and off from the switch a couple of times.

How long is it staying on for ? Possibly circulation problem caused by knackered pump
