Diverter valve. Cr*p boiler. They sometimes stick in ch mode thus all heat goes to rads.Also go faulty other way ch but no dhw .Theres no diaphragm to change its a full unit but they are not too expensive.Pain to change though. Paul

Little tip. If you get a new head it`s supplied with the lever in the "locked" position .Before removing existing head lock the lever in the open position. Makes the alignment of shaft into hole on valve much easier. :wink: Paul

Have heard that Baxi have had exp. vessel probs on their combi 80 /105 range.Is this true or just a rumour ? paul

Why not ask him or have you and you think he is too dear?

Can be sealed under the floor but cannot use compression fitting to do so. Therefore must be soldered joint.Job for RGI as to do this correctly the gas meter should be removed and reconnected and installation tested afterwards. Paul

after running dhw does the boiler go out and then come back on for c/h?

maybe they have used a gate valve fitted between flow and return to act as a sort of bypass?

Have worked a lot of theses boilers and never had to change pcb`s. Sounds like your engineer is totally lost and is just throwing parts at it in a hope to fix. When he is checking the aps is he just listening for the "click" or actually checking with his multimeter.Have had seversl switches...

Can someone pleaes answer this question? If a RGI repairs a faulty pcb and fits it back onto the boiler is he contravening any regulations? Paul

The big silver valve is the gas section.The round black block at the front is a pressure differential valve actuated by pump pressure.It pushes a pin on the gas valve.The 3" solenoid is a 20v dc solenoid powered from pcb. Hope that helps Paul :lol: :lol: :lol:
