sounds like leaking from behind front section of water diaphragm housing( the diverter is split into 2 parts)If its leaking between the front section and rear the seal inside the rear has gone.

Boiler is most prob over 10 years old.DHW heat exchangers do get blocked up causing overheat stat on main heat exchanger to trip out pilot.fitting new pump and heat exchanger cost ££.Would advise too look at new boiler cos this one could cost you a lot of money long term.

you can still get diaphragms for these.They are the same as the earlier main medway.I`d get one while stocks last and also get pushrod o ring seal.Not a job you want to do yourself but good to have parts at hand.

can you hear anything like relays chattering from pcb after being on for 5-10 mins..Had severeal go faulty on 24i range.

Has one of the rad valves got a drain off? May be able to " drag" air lock out of pipes through it.

If you are concerned primarily with dhw temp then fit a 15mm cyltrol valve on dhw flow into cylinder. ( it`s like a trv for cylinders.)

c/h sensor faulty.It acts as overheat as well.Could also be partially blocked venturi or faulty aps.Is heating going up ch pipes when on dhw.If so new diverter.Ravenheat cheap crap in my opinion.What i would class as a throw away boiler. remember if you break the case seals you are responsible...

Have you got 240v on live at fan?

Altetrations wouldn`t prevent trv`s sticking.This wil be due to sludge in 20 year old system which will need flushing to remove.Personally i would leave system as is for now and when time / money permits rip out old boiler and drag system into 21st century.
