    Lining out a steel framed loft, not the floor, the sides.

    We're building a house, and the roof is to be tile-effect steel sheeting on an angle iron truss steel frame. I'd like to line it out with 3/8" plywood sheet, varnished and made to look pretty, as it will be used for living space/tv room/bedrooms maybe. So, any suggestions how to do it...

    Floorboard Problem

    How about pulling the boards up either side and putting a batten in through them? Or are they trapped too? Just curious, but just how did this floorboard become too short?

    If you dig a hole as deep as you reckon you'll want your soakaway, then toss a couple of buckets of water in it. If the water sits there for an hour then you need to go deeper, until you get through any clay you're digging into. Or so I read on some other building forum a while back. It...
