    Help identifying fitting

Thanks again. I have had a look on-line for non finned 90 degree connectors and there aren't many! The only branded one I could find is the Wc-con9 but that has a peculiar offset that will loose me some spacing and move me too far towards the back wall. I may look at the 4"sleeve suggestion...

    Help identifying fitting

Thanks for that. So it will have a seal - guess that will need replacing. Would I be better with a non finned connector. height is a premium as that push socket is already more than 100mm. D

    Help identifying fitting

Hi. Grateful of some advice before I start on new downstairs cloakroom. I am trying to size up the fittings (roughly) before I pull out old loo. What I am unsure of is what exactly do I have that is set in concrete floor. Visually, this'll looks like a slip type fitting which makes me wonder...

    Planning New Boiler an Rads

Ooooer - seems i have set a hare running. All interesting stuff but may take me a while to get head around [as they say]. Just to pick up a few points back up the thread. No - not fitting a boiler myself. Yes - would clean with DS40 as have used both DS40 and superfloc [i think was called]...

    Planning New Boiler an Rads

Thanks both for reply. Sounds like a good clean before removal would be worthwhile. Bit of a worry about pipework [gulp] - was hoping minimal plaster work. Thought small boiler would give the efficiency - didnt think would need larger rads. wonder if I should just turn TV up louder...

    Planning New Boiler an Rads

Hi – grateful of some plumbing advice. My boiler is due a change – its done well but it is old and noisy. I have always tried to keep system clean [DS40 + inhibitor] but it kettles from time to time so guess there is muck in there moving around. It is a 4 bed house system, circa 20yrs old...

Honeywell v4073a - new motor but still playing up

Thanks both Gasguru - yep did think about that but just seem an expensive way to get the ball and plate [£57] when adaptor plates are less than £10 ChrisR - glad not just me then. If the ball or ball and arm have come off spindle assume that they cannot escape the valve body and get stuck...

Honeywell v4073a - new motor but still playing up

Guys - wondering if my ball has come off  Removed power head and checked spindle as you suggested and there was a definite tight spot approaching port A (CH). Gave it a gentle wiggle with fingers back and forth few times until felt free. Refitted power head and tried again – no joy...

Honeywell v4073a - new motor but still playing up

Thanks all for advice Twgas:Will remove head and check spindle turns okay Namsag: Take your point Suppose I was hoping for a mode of electrical failure that would cause valve to hunt or hold open rather than mechanical failure within valve body. Do the valves themselves often fail like...
