    Garage conversion raising floor height

I'm in the process of carrying out a garage conversion and would like your thoughts in terms of what would be the best option to raise the height of the garage floor to the rest of the house. The difference is 610mm! Would a suspended timber floor be the best option?

    Basin drain relocation garage conversion

Even better, I was under the impression if i fill the garage drain that i may end up blocking the toilet side as they are shared. So if i block the basin drain side within the garage by pouring concrete in, it wont interfere with the toilet drain side even though it is shared?

    Basin drain relocation garage conversion

I ran the basin tap and flushed the toilet at the same time whilst looking at the manhole, the water came out from the same outlet, so I'm guessing they use the same connection below the ground? Whereabouts will the connection be between the toilet and basin below the ground? In order for me to...

    Basin drain relocation garage conversion

I'm planning on building a suspended floor to raise the height as the garage is lower, so I'm guessing damp wont be an issue...? Thanks for the info, I'll attempt to remove the toilet to access the pan and fit one with a 32mm boss and fill the gulley with cement, is it worth also filling it on...

    Basin drain relocation garage conversion

Option 2 i think would be best, I would prefer to not have the drain in the garage, I will be fitting a new basin and toilet I wasn't too sure if the drain waste can be connected to the pan waste, so that would be ideal. Do you know how typically how deep i would need to dig? Could you also...

I'm considering carrying out a garage conversion to make it into a habitable room, majority of the works I'm planning on doing myself On the ground floor in another room to the side of the garage there is a wash basin and toilet, the waste from the basin goes into a drain which is literally on...

    Upgrading microbore to plastic pipework

I'll be fitting new trvs and plastic pipework, but it has been mentioned if the flow and return is wrong for argument sake it shouldn't be an issue as the trvs are bi directional

    Upgrading microbore to plastic pipework

I've seen that pic but it contradicts another pic which says the flow and return is the other side The boiler wasn't working, out of use Here's the post where i raised the question https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/double-entry-radiator-valves-flow-and-return.528029/#post-4430058
