I put them on par with Shaldag Unit (within IDF) and they certainly do not mess about.

    Axiom-branded accessories etc.

I've never experienced any problems with Axiom brand From CED and since they have become entangled with Travis Perkins now the owner of Toolstation, I can nip out just a mile from my front door and pick up all I need from TS on the trading estate(y) A swift check online and a reserve click (card...

    Back filling mdpe pipe

I always used to use sieved sand first to ensure no sharp stones were included. With soil, you have no idea what is concealed in each barrowful. Approx 3" of sand surrounding the main before the complete backfill would be much better for the plastic pipe.

Hanging a kitchen cupboard is this possible??

What about affixing open shelving along that remaining 200mm?

    Soldier F.

Our troops are fully trained to kill and should have never been put into a civilian location where mistakes could take place affecting the civilian population.

IMO that case should have never been considered.

    Bon Voyage to me

My heating has been running since the first hint of temperature drop. Any thought of adding to climate change is dispelled when I consider all of the volcanoes that are erupting across the world as I type this reply. I like to keep my home at least 23.5c as a minimum as my wife suffers with...

Current distance between gas hob and extractor?

What minimum distance does the hob instructions state? At the end of the job, it will probably depend on the output of the hob and frequency of burner use.

    Arlec wiring accesories

That brand is a stock item at Screwfix, all with positive feedback. I guess that seller has bought a load of excess stock and needs to clear it. https://www.screwfix.com/c/electrical-lighting/switches-sockets/cat830530?brand=arlec

Shower casing has come loose from wall at top

From your photographs, yes, a holding screw is missing. Replacing with a screw of the correct thread and length should secure the frame.

Skim coat or lining paper on these walls ?

I am always an advocate for back-to-brick if the budget can stand it. Once it's all done, you can then forget about anything grinning through (y) Skimming over a less that perfect substrate could cause problems when decorating.

    why was my concrete "rocky"?

Thinking all the way back to my earlyish years, the ideal concrete mix for general building usage was to the ratio 3/4" 4-2-1 OP 2"slump; where the 4parts was the 3/4"agregate (downgraded), the 2 was the fines (blended sand) and the Op was ordinary Portland cement mixed with water to give a 2"...

    What's this underneath my wallpaper?

A good quality and gauge lining paper (cross lined) should give a descent surface. https://www.helpwithdiy.com/decorating/lining_a_wall.html

Leadwork on rebuilt bay before rendering

FKUC!! What a horrid display of bodgermanship. If that was my house they would be given the order of the boot and then some  Leadwork is an art and takes many years to perfect. Plumber = worker of lead, but today, unfortunately, a good plumber is becoming as rare as hen's teeth

Can't undo Erbauer core drill bit

Several determined taps with a hammer should start the undoing process, just as removing a Rawlplugging tool bit from the jumper.
