    Frameless Showerscreen problem

Hi i'm trying to fit a showerscreen, pretty much the same as the one below. I've drilled the holes in the wall channel, and the tiles, and fixed the wall channel to the wall. The problem is when i try to slot the screen into the wall channel. It simply won't go in, and it looks like the 2...

Can I use 2 Bi fold doors together

Yes should be no problem. I have a similar setup in my lounge, seperating the dining room. I have 5 doors, they were there when we moved in. they run on one single track. The only difference is that my doors each had 4 panels of i think they call it flemish glass, it's slightly obscure. I...

Worth investing in a core bit and new sds?

I would personally go for a core drill. I had a Sparky (about £150), and it was pretty good. I used it mainly for drilling out boiler flues, and it lasted years, so i can't see it being a problem with smaller diameters.

    cash gift from relative

I've been having to look into a complicated inheritance tax situation for a family member, and i am pretty sure, no inheritance tax will be payable. as others have stated, only estates over 325K are liable basically. the seven year threshold is designed to minimise liability over the period of...

Samsung DVD - SH 853M problem

There is some sort of fault. It takes ages to copy a programme recorded on Hard drive, to DVD. Today, its so far taken 3 hrs to copy 50% of a 1hour prog. Can anyone suggest what the problem may be, it used to transfer a lot more quickly. Also, finalising a disc is becoming hit and miss. Cheers

    Repairing Pergo laminate

Yes, i had a couple of packs stored in the garage, but when i opened them, found out they'd warped over time. So it's gonna have to be a new floor. I think it would have been impossible to get a repair looking half decent anyway. Thanks anyway.

    Old 2 pin plug

Ok, i've just got the full scoop from my father. The tape recorder used to sit in an old grundig gramaphone thing, i actually remember it, was the size of a small car. The recorder pluged into an internal socket within the gramaphone case. The maker of the tape recorder was italian, so i might...

    Old 2 pin plug

I've just come across an old reel to reel tape recorder, and it has the old style 2 pin plug. Is it possible to buy an adaptor, to fit into the normal 3 pin plug socket? I've googled it, but all i can find is the euro adaptors. I'm guessing that wouldn't work. Any advice appreciated.
